December 2009

We’re signing off from Geek Dads @ Home and transitioning into Geek Dads Weekly. This short (about a minute) non-episode is a reminder to our listeners to update their bookmarks, iTunes subscriptions and feed readers to find us at our new locations.

We record the first new show next Wednesday, January 6th. See you in 2010!

It’s two days before Christmas, and Daniel & Joe have a big announcement to make! We kick off with a discussion about Joe’s eBook, Baseballisms: The 2009 Playoff Collection.

We talk about using Twitter for a singular purpose, which leads into our big announcement – Geek Dads @ Home is coming to an end. Today’s our grand finale, but also the beginning of something new: Geek Dads Weekly! We’ll be recording our first show of the new year on Wednesday, January 6th and posting it at our new site, www.geekdadsweekly.com. We’ll still be hosted by GeekCast.fm as well as appearing in iTunes.

We ended the show with a discussion about the 1001 Albums That You Must Hear Before You Die list.

We’re off next week, see you in January at www.geekdadsweekly.com!

This week we welcome back to the show Eric Nagel, who last appeared in episode 34: The 180 Days of Christmas. Eric is back to give us an update on his massive Christmas lights project, as well as his nomination for Affiliate of the Year.

It’s a Very Special Episode of Geek Dads @ Home! This week we celebrate the one year anniversary of the show, and while I thought perhaps an 80’s sitcom-style Best Of clip show might be fun, we decided that getting original Geek Dads Scott Jangro and Sam Harrelson to join us would be better.

We’re back from Thanksgiving break with a show about injuries, diets and 16-hour drives. It’s a lot more upbeat than it sounds. We hope you had a great Thanksgiving, and enjoy the show!
